First Fruits

A few months ago we planted a small garden. The girls have enjoyed watching our garden grow. This morning we ate our first home grown strawberry. While it was a little tart, it was still the sweetest berry ever.

Tommee Tippee

When BigZabba was born someone, I can't remember who, gave us this bib. For whatever reason I never used it. Now with LittleZabba we use it all the time! It really saves a lot of messes. Most of the time LittleZabba spills all the food into the "bib trough" then she eats out of the bib. So a huge thank you to the person who gifted us with the Tommee Tippee bib. (for those who wonder, she isn't crying in this photo, this is her smile)

Demolition

This weekend part two of the closet project began. My beautiful closet, as seen here behind the pretty door, is completed. Now we are planning on removing the rest of the old closet by taking out the wall which was the frame for the old closet door. I never knew how much fun it would be to put a hammer through the wall! If given the opportunity I highly recommend trying it.
It was much easier than we (I say "we" but really I didn't do anything. DaddyZabba did all the work) thought it would be to take out the wall.
And just like that the wall is gone.
Next weekend we will put up drywall in the places where there was too much damage to patch. Then paint, cabinets, a desk, and a few carpet places to patch and we are done. Ah home improvement.

18 Months

Our littlest monkey is 18 months old today! She is starting to talk. Her vocabulary consists of Mama, Dada, her sister's name, grandparents nicknames, dow (down), chee (cheese), da (ok), baba (baby), meme (this means many things; milk, help me, give it to me, open this for me, pay attention to me...) and the ever famous pee-pee. She still loves taking things out and then putting them back. Yesterday it was the containers, this morning it was all my shoes, this afternoon it was all the books...she lays them all out, then puts them back. She is completely addicted to her blanket...I am not joking. She doesn't go anywhere without it, and with all the new blankets we have she is in heaven. Even at 18 months she isn't too busy to sit and cuddle for a while. She is such a joy to our family. We love our LittleZabba!

Pre-K Promotion

BigZabba had her Pre-K promotion today. We had a lot of fun watching her complete the obstacle course, sing a few songs, receive her certificate & speaking about her favorite field trip. She certainly has grown up over the last school year.

All the children decorated quilt squares so we presented the teachers with the class quilt.

We are so proud of our little girl. It is hard to believe how time flies.

New Summer Styles

We wanted you to be the first to know about our two new styles added to the AllyZabba family. We are pleased to offer the AllyZabba Aloha and AllyZabba Camo as our new blankets. We custom print both the Hawaiian and the Camouflage silky prints so it's truly an AllyZabba exclusive.

Sticking up for Mom

Today at Trader Joe's LittleZabba started crying in the check-out line. She was upset because she wanted to get out of the cart. The woman behind us in line tried talking to her, but that only upset her more. The woman then said, "Mom shopped 15 minutes too long."

BigZabba turned to her and said, "No my Mom didn't."

The woman said, "Yes she did. Your sister is crying. She wants to go home. Mom was here too long."

BigZabba responded, "No she didn't. LittleZabba is just fine, aren't you (talking to LittleZabba)." And LittleZabba then stopped crying.

I wanted to say, "Ha ha, see she was right!"

On McDonalds

After eating at McDonald's BigZabba says,

"Daddy, when we get home I think we should brush our teeth."

Why?

(while rubbing her teeth with a napkin) "We should get all this buttery stuff off."

Surf's Up Premier

This weekend we went to the Surf's Up premier. We had a fantastic time. It was fun to see the penguins walk down the "blue" carpet, watch the movie with the stars, and go to the after party. We played lots of carnival games and are now proud owners of many Surf's Up plush toys. It was very exciting to see DaddyZabba's movie and hear everyone cheer. I know I am biased, but you really should take the kids to see it. It is fun for everyone! Go see it June 8.

For the Twirler in your Home

My new favorite shopping site features clothes by Little Lubbaloo. Their skirt sets are simply adorable. BigZabba loves wearing her Cowgirl Twirl Skirt Set. She would wear it everyday if she could. I have a hard time keeping it clean so she can wear it! I had to pass on the new found fun. If you know of a little girl who loves to twirl, you must check it out. We also love her Francie Pants...little shorts you were under the skirts to cover the "unmentionables". My personal favorite is the Camo Cutie pants. I wish they were in my size!
