Tiny Sprouts

I wanted to mention that today and tomorrow (the 28th and 29th) Tiny Sprouts is donating 100% of your order to The March of Dimes. They have super cute hand embroidered items, for a reasonable price. If you choose to order you need to put "The Daily Stroll" in the comments section for your order to count towards The March of Dimes donation. Plus they have free shipping, so you can't beat that! LittleZabba could always use a cute new dress, or shirt for any of the Grandma's that happen to be reading! =)

Neighbors

I have the best neighbor. Today we received a delivery. Little did I know that my neighbor was outside and she saw the large man coming to my door. She said that something seemed odd about it to her, so she decided to come on over and check things out. Of course all was fine when she got here. But she was prepared in case things weren't a-ok...she brought her pepper spray with her!

The Blankie

LittleZabba loves her blankie. She is on her second travelzabba, the first one stays in the car & the second one stays in the diaper bag. She also has a large one that stays in her crib. Over the last few weeks she has gotten even more attached to it. It is like a drug...she cries, give her the blanket she stops, show her the blanket, she sucks her thumb. It is pretty crazy. Good thing we know who makes them!

The Closet

The closet is nearly done. Here is a then and now:

Just one more set of shelves and the closet is done. Then the next project can begin...changing what used to be the closet into a desk/nook area. I am sure DaddyZabba is ready for the home improvement projects to be over!

Where you Been?

This past week the girls and I, along with my Mom, went to Pennsylvania to visit my Grandparents. We had a great time playing in the snow (which melted all too quickly), having snowball fights (which BigZabba said she enjoyed but spent more time crying than fighting) and eating lots of food. They hadn't met LittleZabba yet, so it was a sweet time for them to get to know her and spend time with both the girls. We made lots of great memories.

She Reads!

Tonight something in BigZabba's brain clicked and she is reading!! She read 40 pages of a Dick and Jane book!! She kept wanting to read more and more.. "Let's read the next one and the next one!" At first I wasn't sure she was really reading it, but I had her read pages that she hadn't seen before and she did it. At first she was sounding out every word, but as she repeated the words more and more she got faster and better. She is super excited. As I write this she is in bed reading more.

Second Thoughts

Since my previous post about homeschooling I am having second thoughts. I recently heard of a school not too far away, but in another district, that sounds perfect for BigZabba. While working in her class I love to sit back and watch her interact with the other students and her teacher. She really seems to thrive in that environment. Attending school will be good for her socially and academically. On the other hand, teaching her at home will give her much more one on one time, and she will be able to learn more (probably). I really feel torn about what to do. The things that concerned me about her local school are perfect at the other school. I will be taking a tour of the school and getting information about enrollment in the coming weeks. I know that she will do great in either environment, but I just want to do what is right, what is best for her. I can't seem to find my "The Answers to Every Parenting Question" Book...anyone have their copy?

Worm Feast

While driving we saw many bird formations flying in the sky. BigZabba was very excited to see all the "V's" of birds. She then said,

They are all very excited. They are flying to a worm feast!
