Wild Animal Park

Today we went to the Wild Animal Park with family. We had a great day. BigZabba loved spending time with her Aunt, Uncle and Cousins and especially loved seeing all the animals. Here are some highlights from the day.

BigZabba tried her hand at photography.
The kids loved seeing the lions sleeping on the car!
We think we hear the Ostrich eggs hatching!
BigZabba loved the lorikeet feeding. UncleZabba even let her take over feeding his bird.
LittleZabba had a hard day. No morning nap and only a short afternoon nap. Exploring and animal watching is hard work!We soon ate dinner and everyone was peachy-keen once again!
I had to take a picture of the Pizookie. Every time I have one of these I think of Susan. I ate it in honor of her birthday. Happy Birthday Susan!

Sweet Sisters

BigZabba and LittleZabba dance to "Clifford the Big Red Dog", then settle in to enjoy the show. Such sweet girls.

Live Entertainment

Who needs a radio when you can have live entertainment each and every time you are in the car.

For extra credit, what does BigZabba sing is the nice thing to do for the goat?

(I especially love LittleZabba's facial expressions. She thinks I am taking a picture so she keeps smiling for the camera!)

Really

We were driving in Hollywood tonight and I saw a store that made custom lampshades. I know I am not the trendiest of people, but really, who needs a custom lamp shade made? I have never needed a lampshade that I couldn't find at Target. But I guess that is why I am not a very trendy person.

Self Esteem

I have noticed lately that many people comment about how pretty LittleZabba is and then as an after-thought they say something like, "Oh your older one is pretty too." I hope that BigZabba doesn't pick up on this and think that she doesn't measure up. But after some thought I think she has a healthy self image.

Example -

We were at a party this last weekend and someone commented to BigZabba that she was pretty. She quickly responded, while running her hand through her hair, "I know."

Then someone was taking pictures at the party and she was trying to get photos of each table. After she photographed our table BigZabba promptly got up and went to the woman and asked, again while tossing her hair, "Would you like to take just my picture?"

I think she is doing ok in the self esteem department.

It Survived!

I now know how resilient AllyZabba blankets are. A few weeks ago, on a rare rainy day, LittleZabba dropped her blanket in the gutter. It wasn't discovered until a while later. It was fairly dirty and really gross. After a wash it was as good as new. Today LittleZabba found a pen and without my knowledge decided to scribble all over her blanket. Surprisingly after a wash, and a pre-treatment, it was again as good as new. So, if you happen to have an AllyZabba of your own, know that it can come back from being left in the gutter and being the victim of "art".

Updates

Sorry for the lack of meaningful posts lately..we have had many things going on at home lately, so blogging has taken a back seat.

DaddyZabba - He just returned from a trip to Germany. He presented Surf's Up at the FMX conference in Stuttgart Germany. He had a great trip and brought BigZabba a very cool toy.

AllyZabba - We are in the process of getting our summer line ready. We will have AllyZabba Aloha and AllyZabba Camo blankets. They look awesome! We also have gift baskets now, I don't know if I mentioned that before.

LittleZabba - Still up to no good! She must be going through a growth spurt because she is doing alot of falling. She has a nice bruise on her forehead from falling down the stairs.

BigZabba - Growing up too fast. She is the most responsible 4 year old I know. She likes to read before going to sleep, so just the other day she asked if she could leave her lamp on while she read. She said that she would turn it off when she was done reading and go to sleep. Ok, lets try this out. I went back to check on her about 25 minutes later and the light was off and she was asleep! So for the last 3 nights we have done this and she has been loving it!
