BigZabba's version of a Sunday School song...
"I've got beef side the river, I've got beef side the river, I've got beef side the river in my doll"
"I've got joy on the mountain, I've got joy on the mountain, I've got joy on the mountain in my doll"

Updated Leaderboard
I am sure Lola and Jen haven't updated their runs over the weekend so this probably isn't a true update, but oh well. At least it makes me look good for the moment!

This Date In...
1987 - Went to Chung King with my class.
1989 - Today nothing really "big" happened. At 9:00pm (insert boy name here) called and he kept saying that he knew someone who likes me. It turns out that it's him! I already knew that, but I figured that it was over. I really don't know what to do about it! Should I pursue it, forget about it or what! I don't know if I am over (insert different boy name here)! He's cute and all but he lies, and well I don't know. Life's just rough! I guess I'll let nature take it's course.
1991 - I don't know what made me pick up this journal today. I guess I should just write. (Insert girl name here) is really bugging me lately. She really knows how to get on my nerves! Something about her REALLY bugs me! Who knows! For my birthday (insert boy name here) sent me a bracelet. It's really pretty! I miss him so much. Sometimes I think that this will work out and we'll be together and other times I feel like it's useless cuz' he lives so far away! I just don't know.
1993 - Lately I've been talking to (insert boy name here) a lot. Tonight when I talked to him we started talking about dances at school & to make a long story short he's going to winter formal with me! He said that he'd go with me if I went to his.

Crazy Lady
While in Costco today....
BigZabba - "Mommy, that lady is crazy."
Me - "Why is she crazy?"
BigZabba - "She bought a big bag of dog food and I don't think she has a dog."

I'm Back
After a much needed vacation I am back. I know that everyone was starting to go through withdrawls, so before the shakes got too bad I came back. Everyone can breath a collective sigh of relief now.
We spent one week on the south side of Kauai. My Mom was kind enough to come with us and be our nanny for the week. (Such a sacrifice I know.) We were able to go on a tubing adventure and a few dinners out sans children. It was great. We spent many hours by the pool relaxing, sunning & swimming. Good times.
Enjoy the photos.

Happy Birthday to Me
This has been a great day. It started with a scavenger hunt. There were 30 clues hidden around my house. Each clue led me to the next clue and to my presents. It was fun for BigZabba. She enjoyed helping me decipher each clue. (example, We have 12 of these, your next clue is in one.) DaddyZabba went all out for this birthday. He knew that I had been wanting to start running again, so as inspiration he got me an iPod Nano, with the Nike+iPod chip & new headphones. The chip talks to the Nano and keeps track of your distance, pace and total time. You then can download your workout and the program will keep track of your workout and it will chart each run. It is very cool. So I had to try out my new toy. It was the first time I ran with music since I didn't have headphones that would actually stay in my ears. I ran 2 miles in 17 minutes. Not too bad. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship!
He also set up a day at the spa for my with my Mom & Sister. I was treated to a massage, facial & milk bath. Then to top it off we had dinner with my family and some friends, and dessert was my Mom's famous cream puffs. Yummy.
It was a great day. Gotta go to bed so I can get up and run! =)

The Drama Continues
This morning DaddyZabba took BigZabba to school, hoping that removing "Mommy" from the situation would help ease the separation..no. This only caused the drama to begin earlier, at the front door saying good bye to Mommy rather than in front of the classroom saying good bye to Mommy.
I am left feeling like the bad guy. My child is screaming, "I want Mommy! I don't want to go to school. I want Mommy. Mommy!" and I walk away. How awful. If I were to give in I could make all this stress go away. She would be happy, I wouldn't have to deal with this drama daily, life would be less stressful. But, then she would "win". If I allow this to continue, how long do I allow it to continue? It is spilling over into other areas of our life that used to be stress free. Going to church is now a huge issue, playtime at MOPS is now a problem, and I question every outing wondering if this will be something that will set her off. If pre-school is causing this much commotion, is it really worth it? It is only pre-school, and getting through this drama now is no guarantee that kindergarten will be any better.
So Moms, I need your vote. Pull her out or push through the pain?

It's Coming
This week the big 3-0 will be entering my life. I don't feel 30, I certainly don't act 30. I feel like I could still be in college. But when I visit my Alma Mater I am hit with the realization that I am definitely not a college student anymore. They let 15 year olds in college these days?
What does 30 act like? I am not sure, but I will soon find out.

Thank you..
My friend, Mr. P, was one of 5 passengers on a September 13th flight from LAX to Dulles Airport who subdued a passenger who tried to open the exit door while in flight. He woke up to a stewardess yelling "Someone help us!" He jumped into action and helped take the suspicious man down.
Good job Mr. P and thank you for your heroic efforts, you rock!
